Cebu - 02/03/2009 - Jera
After the usual morning romp Jera left mid morning and I arranged to meet her at the bar around 9pm. I wandered across to the hotel dining room and ordered breakfast, Jera having said she’d prefer to eat when she got home. I guess these girls can feel a little uncomfortable in an hotel dining room, though there were 3 other guys with their guests having breakfast when I sat down. I took a leisurely breakfast and updated my diary.
Then it was down to Robinsons Mall, where I spent half an hour in an Internet café dealing with a few client queries via email. I then grabbed a taxi and went back to Kiwi Lodge to see which mongers were hanging out there today.
By the way, taxis are the ONLY way to get around safely and sensibly in Cebu City. They are all metered and and with a 30 pesos (40 pence) flagfall, it’s difficult to spend more than 120 pesos a trip anywhere in town. Traffic is very heavy and the driving is the usual 3rd world standard – a combination of Wacky Races and Death Race 2000!
A different bunch of mucky fuckers was gathered around the bar there today, all in their 40s/50s/60s. I drifted into conversation and over the next few hours got several tips about bars and where to eat. All 6 of these guys were staying for a month or longer and all had stayed here before. There are several different room types/prices. None were empty, so I couldn’t take a peek inside. My overall impressions are that this is a low budget place in every way, though a terrific spot to mix with mongers socially. I MUCH preferred Eddies, even though it was almost twice the price. Having said that, if you were to be here for any length of time, the cost advantages here could not be ignored. The food is good, the barmaids (no barfines allowed) cheery and it’s a nice atmosphere. Absolutely no issues with bringing back 3 or 4 girls for a gangbang, if’s that’s your thing.
By 5pm and several beers later, I decided I really did need a nap before grabbing something to eat and meeting up with Jera around 9pm. So back to Eddies Hotel where I crashed out for a couple of hours. I had difficulty rousing myself – but I had work to do :). I freshened up and walked the 200 yards to Lone Star bar, down a side street behind Eddies. I had read good reports about the bar – and the pizza was recommended too (it was great). Lone Star is a small bar with booths along 2 sides and bar stools surrounding the central dancing platform. I was pounced on by 3 girls of course but after some pleasant banter they could see that I wasn’t up for buying drinks or playing ‘hide the cock’ with them. There were 16 girls there at the time. One I rated an 8, 2 7s and the rest a mixed bunch. The place was busy, I would say there were a couple of dozen guys there, 2 playing pool at the rear of the bar. Music was OK, not too loud, and the atmos lively and friendly.
I left at 9pm and in 5 mins walked past my hotel, up to Mango Avenue, one of the hot centres of action in the city. There are about 8 bars in this 50 yard strip, sitting on both sides of the road. So that must offer a selection of some 300 girls all up for action. If you can’t find a few that take your fancy amongst that lot – you need certifying as being insane!
I went straight into Hot Rod as I was more than happy with Jera and could see no point in running the gauntlet in any other bars. The mongers at Kiwi had recommended 2 large themed bars, Egypt and Bounty, out at the new convention centre some 15 mins away. I planned to take Jera there for a look-see.
I was warmly welcomed back into Hot Rod and Jera appeared immediately with a big smile and kiss. I selected a raised sofa at the back of the bar which offered a great view of the entire area. It had the added advantage of also being behind the sound system’s speakers, which meant it was a little quieter too. I decided to stick to Coke for the evening, having had that lunchtime session at Kiwis – no point in getting pissed when there’s a nubile beauty to take care of!
The house rules/deal at Hot Rod are as follows:
The girl gets a ‘salary’ of 200 pesos a night, less 50 pesos for make up that’s applied by the gay ‘manager’. If she doesn’t get a bar fine or ladies drinks, that’s it for a 7pm-3am shift! About £2 in all. Of course people doing ‘ordinary work’ in offices and stores only make a similar sum.
The B/F is 1700 pesos, 700 to the bar and 1,000 to the girl, all surreptitiously handed over to the mamasan in the background. The girl gets her share the following evening.
The girl gets no ‘salary’ if she’s bar-fined and hasn’t secured at least 4 LDs at 150 pesos each. She also gets a 40 peso cut on those drinks, paid the following day.
So, her top earnings for a good night could amount to 1400 pesos, plus optional small tip the following day. Bear in mind that the average salary is 4000-5000 pesos a month and you can see that’s good pay IF she gets only 2 BFs a week. This is the general approach in all the go go bars in Cebu, though the process varies slightly from bar to bar.
We spent an hour or so there and I came to the conclusion that I had picked one of only two 8 rated girls there. I poppoed the question about a 3some, but she wasn’t into girls – pity. So, I arranged the BF for the remaining 2 nights and around 10:30 we made our exit and headed out to the 2 adjacent bars in the new commercial centre that had been recommended by the mongers at Kiwi Lodge. It’s about a 15 min taxi ride and certainly worth a look. These are themed bars, Egypt and Bounty.
In Egypt all the girls wear scanty Egyptian-themed outfits – the nicest kit I saw in any bar this trip. Looks expensive. The central stage has a huge Mummy carving at the far end and there are the usual bar stools all around the long stage. I counted around 50 girls here, though only mebbe three 7s. It was a classy joint and I expected the BF would be a lot more than usual, however it’s only a little more at 1950 pesos.
Next door in Bounty it’s a pirate theme and softer lighting, a bit less of a strain on these old eyes.

Once again perhaps 40-50 girls doing their thing. Same mix as next door, maybe all the stunners had already been bar fined and had left., it was now about 12:30 am. The trip out there was worth the experience, but I don’t think I’d go back again.
Back to the hotel then … a guy’s gotta do what a guy’s gotta do!

My lovely mermaid …

Ah - what a perfect end to another day in paradise!
